Various Goings On

A few weeks ago, Super High Me screened at the new Landmark Theatre in West LA before a packed house of distributors and UCB fans. It got an incredible reaction - laughs and gasps in places I'd long forgotten were funny or gasp-y. You can read some totally biased reviews here.

Bohica is being cut by Wes Lipman in Barcelona now - where all good editing takes place. I've been working on and off as the project requires my occasional brilliance and attention to detail. A cut should be ready to send to Sundance in September.

My entry into the 48 Hour Film Project turned out quite well. Michael Blieden stars and should be credited with about 75% of the award the entry received for "best use of line of dialogue," since my whole project was improvised. It can be seen on Youtube: Superheroes

Country Mice and City Mice is coming along, hampered only by my recent move from Santa Monica to Venice. I still have about 10 more books to get through as primary research before I begin plotting it out.

On that note, here's an amazing piece of conceptual art that will evoke a visceral reaction from anyone who actually lives in LA: Fantasy Map
